Two Vietnamese representatives to attend Cannes festival's film market

Vo Thi Phuong Linh of QDICOM Agency and Nguyen Tuan Linh of CJ HK Entertainment Co. Ltd have duly been selected to join the event.

QDICOM Agency have carried out a series of social media campaigns for several films, including “Ròm” which is a 2019 Vietnamese film on the topic of crime and violence and “Tiệc trăng máu” (Blood Moon Party) which was the first Vietnamese movie to gross VND155 billion in just four weeks after its release in 2020.

CJ HK Entertainment Co. Ltd is the publisher of “Nhà bà nữ” (The House of No Man) which grossed VND421.2 billion after 23 days in cinemas this year, thereby becoming the highest-grossing Vietnamese film of all time.

The Marché du Film de Cannes is one of the largest film markets in the world. First established back in 1959, the occasion is held annually in conjunction with the Cannes Film Festival.

The main purpose of the market is to bring together various players from the audiovisual industry in order to make connections and discuss business opportunities, such as collaborations, co-productions, financing, and distribution.

Over 12,500 film industry professionals head to Cannes annually to present and discover almost 4,000 films and projects in development at 33 screening venues.

Fast track to Cannes Market is a programme launched by the French Embassy in Vietnam which sends Vietnamese representatives to attend Marché du film de Cannes during the Cannes Film Festival. The event aims to support Vietnamese cinema as it connects with the world.

The announcement of Thu Thao as the nation’s representative was made during a ceremony held on October 19 in Ho Chi Minh City. Thua Thien – Hue Welcomes Back International Tourists by Sea

The cruise ship Le Laperouse (France) operated by Vivu Journeys Vietnam Joint Stock Company docked at Chan May port (Lang Co town, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien – Hue) on the evening of October 9.
